This newsletter is a brief summary of DAO to DAO Relationships: Describing Business Partnership Through a Web3 Lens. DAOs are going to be more prevalent in the business world as web3 becomes more widely adopted making the needs for partnerships to be more clearly defined.
The flat, community oriented organizational structure of DAOs require a prioritization of relationships for partnerships to occur.
To initiate DAO to DAO relationships, DAOs can establish ways of social collaboration such as hosting joint Twitter spaces - Owocki calls this social interoperability
Social relationships between DAOs are important as there has to be harmony between organizations in order to form effective proposals
In order for partnerships to be formulated, DAO proposals must be voted on and approved which means that members between DAOs must be able to voice their opinions
DAO relationships can be trustless and be used for a mutual partnership that benefits both parties.
There are similar value adds that DAOs need such as R&D - DAO partnerships enable this for lower overhead
For commissioned research, DAOs can leverage payment streaming tools like Superfluid to stream joint payments to the researchers on a continuous basis
DAOs can leverage conditional tokens created by Gnosis so that partnerships execute when certain parameters, making the partnership embedded in a trustless smart contract

About the Author:
Hey Frens! Thanks so much for checking out this article. I’m Austin (aka Crypto Jeter). I write this newsletter weekly to shine a light on interesting web3 startups with founders from a vast diversity of backgrounds. Additionally, this newsletter aims to display the innovation in web3 and various evolutionary moments impacting the industry.
In 2017, during my sophomore year at Morehouse College, I bought my first fraction of a Bitcoin and have since been inspired by the access blockchain technology creates, specifically the opportunity of financial freedom for all. Over the last 5 years, the community I’ve built, independent education and professional experiences have accelerated my learnings and helped me stay current with the state of the broader crypto ecosystem.
I truly enjoy meeting founders, investors, and contributors who are in the crypto space so please feel free to send me a DM on Twitter to @Cryptojeter if you’d like to chat.
