This article focused on how DAO contributors can write well formulated proposals that drive communities forward.
DAO proposals are an essential part of the disruptive organizational structure of their communities.
There is no CEO in a DAO that calls all of the shots; DAO proposals make every contributor in a community the CEO
The community votes on proposals which lead to actions being made to better the project
DAO proposals typically consist of a summary, an abstract, a motivation, specs, and pros and cons
Proposals require influence for the community to approve.
Proposals made to a DAO should be well thought out and discussed with the community in the chat, likely in discord or Telegram before a formal proposal
The summaries of a DAO proposals should be captivating and concise so the is eager to understand it
The person/group that creates the DAO proposal should give a glimpse to who they are - Proof of work is essential in crypto. If the community has seen the proposer be an active participant in the DAO, it may lead to more trust for the proposers yielding votes for approval.

About the Author:
Hey Friends! Thanks so much for checking out the Crypto Jeter newsletter. I’m Austin and I write this newsletter weekly to shine a light on emerging web3 startups and display the innovation and various evolutionary moments impacting the industry.
In 2017, during my sophomore year at Morehouse College, I bought my first fraction of a Bitcoin and have since been inspired by the access blockchain technology creates, specifically the opportunity of financial freedom for all.
Over the last 5 years, the community I’ve built, independent education and professional experiences have accelerated my learnings and helped me stay current with the state of the broader crypto ecosystem.
I truly enjoy meeting founders, investors, and contributors who are in the crypto space so please feel free to send me a DM on Twitter to @Cryptojeter if you’d like to chat.
