One’s fashion choice is supposed to somewhat express who they are and provide comfort in their individual selves. Fashion matters not only in real life but also in our digital spaces such as video games. In games like NBA 2K, gamers can customize their characters and outfit them with branded gear that real pro basketball players wear. As they play against other gamers, their fashion sticks out and sometimes, gamers will pay fiat money to customize their character how they like. To give further context, Fortnite earns over a billion dollars in revenue a year. This interest in virtual fashion will not fade away and will continue into web3.
